Andrea joined Gibbs & Cox in 2014 to assist with the leadership of the Business Operations Management area of the company. She brings over 28 years of experience providing leadership, management, and performance of all types of business support services to include contract and subcontract administration; proposal and pricing activities; financial planning, indirect rate structuring, and budget development; intellectual property protection, legal coordination, and regulatory/ethics compliance programs. Having previously worked for a number of companies that supported both commercial and federal government professional services, she not only participated as a member of executive management teams in strategic planning and process improvement initiatives; successfully implementing several process improvements into the business support areas she has lead – but also as a front line consultant delivering services and products to the clients she supported. Notably, she started her career as an Analyst on the Mk19 Mod3 40mm Grenade launching machine gun and at one time assisted the Federal Aviation Administration with their largest single public-private competition for commercial aviation flight services. Andrea has a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from the University of Mary Washington and is a Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM).
