REQUIREMENTS & VERIFICATION ENGINEER – ALL LOCATIONS

Gibbs & Cox, Inc. is one of the nation’s leading independent naval architecture, marine engineering and design firms.  We are seeking a well qualified individual for a position as the company’s Requirements & Verification Engineer. The position may be located in the United States or Canada, depending on the current work load. 

Responsibilities:

  • Works independently (with moderate supervision), or on project teams
  • Participate in risk assessments that identify potential critical process parameters and key operating parameters for all the unit operations in the process, to prioritize process characterization studies and the development of a control strategy in the larger context of the Quality by Design
  • Author validation master plans comprising but not limited to process design plans, process validation plans, continued process verification plans and associated protocols and reports
  • Ability to exercise judgment within and outside of defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize independently in a high paced environment
  • Author risk assessments and validation documentation in close collaboration with internal and external interfaces as necessary
  • Participate to the definition and deployment of the verification methodology
  • Definition of the verification plan in collaboration with the design and architecture teams

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education in Engineering
  • Ability to effectively communicate with senior level leadership on complex technologies, and subjects
  • Strong experience with managing and processing large amounts of data on a daily basis
  • Ability to support analysis across several technical disciplines
  • Experience supporting hardware emulation
