Solve technical problems in a field of engineering which may include one of the following: Marine, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, Ship Combat System, Ship Control Systems, Electronics, Acoustic Signature, Human Factors, Risk and Safety Certification.  Provide technical knowledge on interdisciplinary teams supporting complex ship design projects. With minimal supervision, develop technical specifications and test procedures for validating system performance. Perform technical analyses using US Navy specifications, Design Data Sheets, Technical Manuals, or commercial rules. Interface with team members. Conduct research and summarize findings. Develop status reports, technical reports, documentation, and high level briefings. Manage schedule and technical product development. Perform quality assurance reviews of products such as analyses, calculations and drawings.


  • BS degree or higher in engineering or relevant field from an accredited university (or 5 additional years of relevant experience)
  • 5-14 years of relevant professional engineering experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
