We have extensive experience in applying the Navy's ASSET series of ship synthesis programs including modules for surface combatants, aircraft carriers, amphibious ships and auxiliaries. This tool is used to rapidly complete the traditional design spiral to convert owner's requirements into a fully balanced and optimized ship design. The ability of ASSET to do such studies quickly and consistently makes it an ideal platform for trade-off studies of alternative design concepts. We have been extensively involved in updating ASSET algorithms to reflect emerging technologies, and have acquired an excellent understanding of the details of the program.
