Arlington, Va. – Gibbs & Cox, Inc., a premier independent naval architecture and marine engineering firm, will host the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) Chesapeake Section’s monthly luncheon on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the firm’s Arlington, Va., headquarters.
Tom Schubert, Chief Engineering Officer for Gibbs & Cox, will be among the panel speakers at the lunch meeting, which will focus on affordability and flexible ship design. The luncheon is open to SNAME members and young professionals, their guests and non-members.
The January SNAME meeting and lunch will be held in parallel with and across the street from the 2017 Surface Navy Association’s National Symposium. The symposium runs Jan. 10-12 at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City, also in Arlington.
