Arlington, Va. – Gibbs & Cox, Inc., one of the world’s leading independent naval architecture and marine engineering firms, will be among the more than 70 exhibitors at the 29th annual Surface Navy Association’s (SNA) National Symposium, taking place January 10-12, 2017, at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, Va.
Gibbs & Cox will highlight almost nine decades of maritime architecture and innovation at booth 819, where SNA attendees can learn more about the company’s employment opportunities and recent design and engineering projects.
Visitors to the booth also can drop off their business cards for a chance to win a copy of A Man and His Ship: America’s Greatest Naval Architect and His Quest to Build the S.S. United States. Four winners will be selected each day of SNA. The biography of G&C co-founder William Francis Gibbs was named one of the 10 best nonfiction books of 2012 by the Wall Street Journal.
The theme for the 2017 National Symposium is Distributed Lethality: Enabling Sea Control. Established in 1988, the symposium allows academics and industry and military leaders to meet and discuss issues around naval surface warfare and the activities of surface naval forces.
